Honey-Glazed Radicchio Skewers

2 heads radicchio, cut into 10 wedges each
1 teaspoon salt
1 pound chorizo (or other spicy pork sausage), cut into 40 slices
20 dried figs, cut in half and soaked in Madeira and water
1/2 cup honey

Lay the radicchio wedges in a single layer on a sheet tray. Season with salt. Broil the wedges until the edges char, about 3 minutes. Turn wedges over and char other side. Dice radicchio when it has cooled. Place a piece of sausage on a wooden skewer, followed by a fig. Repeat this process, producing a skewer with 2 pieces of sausage and 2 figs. Repeat with remaining figs and sausages.

Combine honey and soaking liquid in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer, and cook until reduced and thickened into a syrup. Brush skewers with honey mixture and bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Roll each skewer in the minced radicchio and serve.
