Frisee Goes Wild!
Frisee's spiky wild shape and fresh color adds appealing texture and a fresh taste to so many delicious salads. Try our delightful new recipes that tempt the most discriminating salad aficionado. This fluffy vegetable has a mildly bitter flavor and is often found in gourmet salad mixes such as mesclun. Frisee, also called curly endive, is a member of the chicory family that includes radicchio, Treviso, Belgian endive, green endive and escarole.

Salad Tip: Radicchio pairs well with these flavors for a perfect salad: fruit, nuts, gorgonzola cheese, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and bacon.

Preparation Tip: To control radicchio's flavor soak leaves for 10 minutes in cold water before using.
